Data Services Overview

Today's digital video broadcast systems contain many types of data in addition to Video and Audio. Subtitles, audio description and data services such as Teletext are the most visible to the viewer. Other data types including triggers, screen format information, service description tables and software download are not so obvious.

However, all these data types need to be included and correctly timed to produce the complete service.

Once the infrastructure is in place to add the subtitle data then the facilities are available to add other data as well. We are able to offer data insertion services for a range of additional data types including:

· Program switching and Opt Out triggers
· File based data insertion
· Opportunistic data insertion
